Bryson Brodie lives and works in New York. He was born and raised in North Carolina, and received his B.A. from Bowdoin College where he majored in Visual Art. 

In 2002 Bryson co-founded Plane Space, a contemporary art gallery in Manhattan's west village which he co-directed. After a successful run of 51 exhibitions Plane Space closed in 2008.

In 2008 Bryson's art was featured in the limited edition artists' book emotion road: perspectives on small town homoerotic synth pop, art and writing inspired by gil mantera's party dream published by press body press.

In 2009 Brodie's paintings were exhibited in the group exhibition Sound and Vision: Circuit, Tube, and Prism curated by Gideon Bok at Space Gallery in Portland, Maine. 

In June of 2019 Bryson Brodie had his first solo exhibition in Brooklyn, New York at Combine Art House.


In 2024 Bryson was part of White Columns Online #27: Winter Moon curated by What Pipeline.


Spring  2024 Bryson Brodie exhibited in the group exhibition, A Study In Form (Chapter Two)  curated by Arden Wohl at James Fuentes New York, NY.


In 2025 Bryson exhibited in  ARE YOU STILL PAINTING??? , organized by FALCON Art Collective and produced by RRASP,  which was # 5 on Jerry Saltz's 10 Best Shows of 2025 in New York Magazine.
